Anime/relationship/life blogger Koji Oe has called it quits, with a final blog post titled “Poe’s Law.” Overall, Oe’s story is one of hilariously exaggerated boorishness and horrified reader reactions.
Indeed his relationship with his readers seems to have suffered greatly from matters of misinterpretation, culminating in his infamous ‘I’m dating an ex-fujoshi‘ post and her resultant public breakup with him.
Just as the anime blogosphere’s Oppai Taisen appeared to be dead – the energy and vigor having leached out with the high-profile defection of shinn87 – real life stepped up to intensify things.
Iranian cleric Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi claimed that scantily-clad women were responsible for earthquakes: “Many women who do not dress modestly…lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes.”
Before Hideyoshi, before shinn87, before lolikitsune, people knew who you referred to when you said “that aniblogging trap.” Impz was the undisputed master of his craft, and across the globe, men and women alike openly pined for his soft touch. His widely acknowledged sex appeal secured him an appearance in the RenAi Blogger visual novel and spawned the fan site Everyone’s Gay for Impz.
Now, however, Impz fans will no longer be able to entertain fantasies of a future with him. Just hours ago in a post at THAT Anime Blog, Impz announced his marriage to otome gamer Thirteensugars. Thirteensugars’ blog entry on March 30th goes into further detail about the March 26 wedding, which took some of Impz’s own staff by surprise.
“I confess, without shame, I am sick and tired of fighting—its glory is all moonshine; even success the most brilliant is over dead and mangled bodies, with the anguish and lamentations of distant families, appealing to me for sons, husbands and fathers… ” – WT Sherman
“Ragequit is the highest form of compliment to one’s enemies.” – Michael_Fan
Two writers embroiled in drama have publicly considered quitting. CJ Blackwing, the aniblogger behind the ABC civil war, more recently entangled in the Janette-Rakuen dispute, has announced her retirement. Panther, faction leader in the Oppai War, is questioning his place in things now that DFC leader Shinn87 has apparently converted to the promotion of oppai.
rakuen42 Well, the owner of Borderline Hikikomori is retiring. I’ll be taking over for the foreseeable future. ^_^;
PantherRH So I think I should just give up on blogging. Not that I contributed anything, EVER, anyway.
Will this herald a new era of peace for the aniblogosphere? Or is it merely the lull before an even greater war is upon us?
Presumably legitimate businesses were far more important targets than actual criminals, as it took months for EN to go back to things like attempting to bring justice to rapists.
2. The FCC – Taking a step closer to its future role as the GOTT, the FCC proposed sweeping changes to blogging, and the huddled masses could do naught but obey.
At last I decided to take the pettan song, @moritheil‘s ‘Kyon-kun, denwa,’ some public So-called videos, and an @Anime3000 podcast ep
4. Yutaka Yamamoto – With his apology for Endless Eight and sniping at what he felt were undesirable trends in anime, Yamamoto secured infamy for himself in 2009.
5. Colony Drop – Their trolling ranged across the blogosphere, provoking wars with the likes of Plot Shield and ANN. Individual members managed cameos in even the most unlikely situations.
7. Otaku Elimination Game – Whether you reacted to them with love, hate, amusement, or scorn, there’s no denying that OEG made a big splash this year in the anime blogosphere.
8. Wildarmsheero – Like a cook, WAH kept the pot of drama simmering, though it occasionally boiled over.
9. Koji Oe – At great personal cost, he kept it real.
Is ‘passage’ an acceptable word to use for a guy’s bum hole in erotic writing?
11. Michael Pinto – Well known for his different takes on events that often cast light on issues that threatened to slip into obscurity, the proprietor of fanboy.com maintained a dignified status as mentor to up-and-coming sites. Most recently, he was called out for his rampant fanboying.
Loneliness abounds on Twitter, and with it, improbable pairings. So powerful was shinn87′s earlier suggestion of moe daughters that it struck a chord with many throughout the blogosphere, causing them to muse on love.
